Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
• Lead a division of 75-125 scientists and engineers. Direct and oversee a highly complex theoretical and applied research and development programs (laboratory and field research activities) directed toward development of human factors technologies and Soldier-oriented design principles.
• Promote and oversee in-house efforts and outreach to industry and academia through such mechanisms as University Affiliated Research Centers and Collaborative Technology Alliances
• Provide the Army with a senior researcher for human factors technologies and Soldier-oriented design principles that meets the Army’s goals to extend existing technologies or develop new concepts in:
• Soldier sensory-cognitive-motor performance
• Neuroergonomics
• Neuroscience
• Social/cognitive network and decision science
• Human-robotic interaction
• Human-system integration
• Manage diverse, state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities for fundamental science and technology and extend research capabilities to field environments
