Lenny Genna is the new President of L3 Link Simulation & Training.
L-3 Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) has announced the appointment of Lenny Genna as its new President. Genna will report directly to Jim Dunn, President of L-3’s Sensors & Simulation Group.
“Lenny has a solid background of engineering and technical expertise and leadership experience, having managed several essential organizations within L-3 Link, including our US Army, unmanned aerial systems and ground programmes,” said Dunn. “He is an excellent choice to lead Link, continuing our history of outstanding programme performance and innovation and moving our business into new areas.”
Genna began his career with L-3 Link in 1986 in Binghamton. In addition to serving as the division’s Vice President of rotary-wing, unmanned aerial and ground training systems, he served as its director of engineering. During his first 20 years with the company, he held a series of increasingly responsible management positions within the organization’s engineering and programme management business areas.
As well as its established simulation design, manufacture and integration business, L-3 Link Simulation & Training is also well known for its front-end analysis, programme design, field support, aircraft logistics support, training and courseware support, and air traffic control training. It has major operations in Arlington, Texas, and other key bases of operation in Binghamton, Orlando, Broken Arrow and Phoenix.
L-3 Link continues to win major contracts both in the US and overseas. Its most recent success has seen it awarded $6.2 million in contracts from the US Air Force to build one T-1A Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) and provide upgrades to fielded training devices under multiple engineering change proposals. The total programme value of the T-1A Ground Based Training System (GBTS), for which L-3 Link serves as prime contractor, has grown to more than $53 million following these recent awards.
